Updates21/07/09While this does /not/ herald my return to drawing, this move to a new host was prompted by GeoCities' kind of ill-timed decision to shut down completely. Welcome to 110mb, which appears to be kind of better anyway because there aren't any ads. However, the site is showing up funny in FireFox but normal in IE, which I haven't managed to fix yet. 02/11/08It's the last round of MDI - urban vs. urbane. I'm actually really happy with the urban doll and the bottom half of the urbane doll's dress, but everything else could be better. Bases by DHF, non-adoptable. 10/10/08For those of you who aren't aware of it, this site has been half-assedly constructed for about, oh, a year. But today I am happy to announce that as of now, there is not a broken link nor an empty page to be found anywhere...or so I hope. If anyone finds anything weird, leave me a message in the guestbook and I'll fix it as soon as I can. But, for the moment, I feel pretty good about saying...welcome to the grand opening of Guerolita! 29/08/08On The Gathering this month one lady is putting together a collaboration of dolls based around the idea of a fashion timeline. The idea was to doll yourself, obviously, in the fashion of a decade between 0 and about 3000 or so. I snagged 1050. Base by CCG, non-adoptable. 30/07/08Round 2 of this year's MDI. Not much to say about this one...I wasn't incredibly inspired this year. Third stab at using a tablet to do a doll. Didn't turn out all that bad, I guess - I like the pattern on the dress, and her shoes. Base by DHF, face by Something Vague, not adoptable. 28/06/08This is my half of my collaboration with Maint from TG for The Gathering's 'Ninja' themed DUB. The theme was very loose, allowing any kind of warrior at all. Soo, as my current obsession is Devil May Cry (i've been stuck at home all week playing PS2, so sue me) I thought, 'well, I bet I'd look pretty hot as a demon hunter.' Over at my dA account you can see the lineart sketch of this doll as well. I'm really pretty chuffed about her..me...and I find myself wishing /I/ owned a coat that cool. The corresponding fanfiction i'm writing about this character (yes, i'm lame enough to make an autobiographical OC) should be out on FanFiction.net at some point this year. Base by DHF, not adoptable. 01/06/08My entry to this year's MDI, Avrielle Sulaweyo. Round 1's theme was..er..'olympiad', I think, but basically you just chose a sport that's popular in that country; that was easy enough. This is the first doll I've ever completed using my brand-new tablet, so that's pretty neat. I really like her hair. Bases by DHF and Something Vague, not adoptable. 28/04/08An older doll that I finished while the site was still down...its everyone's favourite elf commander Alythea Wolfsbane and her one-time lover turned captor Dante Bladewing. If you've looked at my traditional art gallery you've seen him before. :D Anyway, this is the first guy doll I've ever successfully completed and I'm pretty damn proud of it, although it looks a lot better as a PNG than an icky GIF. Unfortunately, I'm 'forbidden' to install IE7 so no transparent PNGs for me. ): Base by Haven of Silindor, not adoptable. 26/04/08Site still under construction, so expect broken links and much unfinished business... 12/23/07We haven't seen miss McKinsey around for a little while, but I recently decided to go back to roleplaying for a while (at least for the duration of the christmas holidays) so I figured I'd do a doll of her in her Yule Ball dress. I did like four versions of this (combinations of green jacket/white jacket and light polkadots/dark polkadots) but I liked this one the best. You make recognize the hair. I'm a shameless self-frankendoller, I'll admit, but I did edit the hair a little...Non-adoptable, base by Doll on the Hill Factory, face by Something Vague. 11/18/07I officially started this doll about 5 months ago. All the outlines were done, but none of the shading was, and it sat in my unfinished folder until a little while ago, when I found it and decided to start working on it again...now, it's turned into a doll of my 2007 NaNoWriMo character Alythea Wolfsbane, an exiled elf woman with a troubled past (because a troubled past is more fun to write about, of course). I'm actually rather proud of this one, because the shading came out very soft and ethereal-looking in my opinion. Non-adoptable, base by Fainelloth Dolls. -Updates Archive- |
